Steen & Strøm celebrates the 1994 Lillehammer Winter Games, with it’s theme Vintermagi. While many recall the games’ athletic feats and traditions like the dance, Steen & Strøm highlights the unsung heroes - volunteers, costume designers, and behind-the-scenes contributors - who made Lillehammer ‘The Best Winter Games Ever.’

The display is divided into four themes. In Nedre Slottsgate, two windows showcase recreated costumes from the opening ceremony, based on original sketches by Kari Gravklev. The entrance celebrates unity with a recreation of the globe releasing peace doves during the opening ceremony. At the corner, a miniature of the opening ceremony is recreated with a ski jump, torch and flag ceremony, while Kongens gate features nostalgic Olympic artifacts, including pins and mascots from the Norwegian Olympic Museum. This tribute honors forgotten contributors while sparking memories for older generations and inspiring new ones drawing increased visitor numbers to the store since the Christmas opening on November 16^th.
