It is with great sadness that we inform you Blake Nordstrom (1960), Co-CEO of Nordstrom, passed away on 2 Jan 2019 after a short battle with Lymphoma. Blake worked for more than 40 years at Nordstrom and he was an inspirational leader and a great retailer who grew up in his family business. He helped transform Nordstrom in one of the most successful US and global department stores.

Blake was also very committed to our associations and its activities; he was an active member attending the events in Zurich 2016 and recently in London 2018. He welcomed IGDS members in Seattle from around the world for study tours or bi-lateral meetings and discussions.

We will miss him dearly, and we wish to extend to Molly Nordstrom, his family and his brothers Pete and Erik our deepest condolences.
