For 117 years Oberpollinger has been standing for exclusive fashion and great brands in the heart of Munich. The Grand Opening of the two newly designed fashion floors was celebrated on May 11th, 2022 with live music from Ätna and the DJane duo Alyssa & Gia, open bars and culinary highlights by star chef Dalad Kambhu and Do&Co. About 2,000 guests, amongst them many celebrities and personalities from fashion, economy and politics followed the invitation of KaDeWe Group CEO André Maeder and Oberpollinger General Manager Alexander Repp.
The new fashion floors with about 10,000 sqm fascinate with great contrasts and a fashion assortment underlining Oberpollinger’s state-of-the art retail position. The new Menswear Department on the first floor, designed by architect Vincent Van Duysen, is enhanced by the play of light and dark, soft and hard surfaces. The new department is divided into the areas: classic, contemporary and luxury & shoes. A special highlight is the new curated shoe pavilion. The new Womens Designer Department is Munich's new fashion destination. The department is located on the second floor and was completed in early 2020. The Milanese architect Andrea Tognon turned the new floor into a stage for women's Designers, shoes and contemporary brands.
